what are some things about malaysia that make you proud to be a malaysian?

1) FOOD!

2) hmm...still FOOD



3) the rojak people who produce those FOOD e.g. chow kueh tao, sate, rendang, teh tarik, kuih & the list goes on, because of all the mixture of rojak people, we get all types of FOOD! Thank you, blessed all the people from all over the world who migrated & developed Malaysia!



4) Fashion - esp. batik, baju kebaya, kain songket

5) the animals :D yeah, weird but most foreigners associate Malaysia as the land with orang utan, harimau, rhino, elephant... wild animals, exotic trees & plants e.g. rafflesia, pitcher plant & etc.



6) Royal Selangor Pewter, I've got this pewter "wau" brooch as a kid..always proud & happy to look at it. Often ppl. asked where I got it & where to buy.



7) Comics - especially Lat & Kee's World. Why? Go read it, if you can laugh then you'll probably get what I'm talking about :D

The culture. Culture is the foundation of every Malaysian and this is the most important that you must be proud as a member of society the way you learn to look at the world and how you function of who you are.

1. Depite the BN {UMNO} tactics of divide and rule, the people of all races can live and work work together for the common good if given the chance to do so, i.e. with no interference from the government...



2. The people are relatively free...



3. The government, despite its many short comings, has chosen not to censor the Internet...



4. There are still a lot of tourists coming to visit Malaysia, and that speaks a lot about security and the government's ability to deal with it...

Its the country slogan i think. It always says "Malaysia Boleh", which means "Malaysia can". Tey can do anything when others can't.
